We had to modify the water metal hose as you can see in the pictures below.  the part of the hose that didn't fit was toward the end of the motor.  the hose hit the manifold. so we basically had to bend it so it was more flat.

What we did to modify it was heat it up with an oxy torch, get a piece of metal, put it in the hole and bend it once it was red hot. after a few goes of heating it up and test fitting it we finally got it perfect.

As you can see below, we bent it enough so that the manifold didnt hit the hose anymore.
